What should I expect when registering for a class?
Expect to cook! Wok This Way classes are fully hands-on. You will arrive, throw on a chef coat and get to cooking in the kitchen with the rest of the class participants. Please do not wear clothes that you cannot get a little dirty. The chef coat will protect your clothes for the most part, but accidents do happen. When you are finished cooking, everyone will sit down and enjoy a nice dinner that you cooked yourselves!
How do I pay for the class?
You will be expected to pay for the class via check or cash upon arrival and before the class begins. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can get this out of the way and class can begin on time.
Where are the classes held?
The classes are held at 4055 S. 217th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK, 74014. After you finish registering for your class, click on the ‘Directions’ tab at the top of the page and you will be taken to a map of our location.
What if I sign up and then find out that I can’t make it?
Cancellation must be made within 48 hours of the class or you may be held liable for full payment. If you cannot make it, just send an email to register@wokthiswaytulsa.com and let us know.
How big are your classes?
All classes require a minimum of 4 people and have a maximum of 6 people. Classes will regretfully be cancelled if less than 4 people sign up. On the other hand, if the class fills and there is more interest… we’ll gladly add a class on another day for you!
What if a group of my friends and I want to take a class together but there aren’t enough seats left?
Don’t bother trying to sign up 4 or more people if the class can’t fit that many more. Just let us know which session you would like to take and we will add a session especially for your group at no extra cost! And even if you don't have quite enough to fill a class, let us know that a group of you are interested in a particular class and we'll be sure to give you preferred seating when we next offer the class you are interest in.
Don’t want to learn to cook Chef John’s cuisine, but want to eat it??
Come to our place for a nice private meal cooked especially for you buy Chef John! Dinner’s held at our location require 4-6 people, however, Chef John will come to your place to cook you a private delectable dinner for any number of people. Price will vary with menu. Just email us and let us know what you would like or request a few sample menus to get some ideas!
Where can I get the ingredients that you use in your recipes?
Every single ingredient that we use in our recipes can be found right here in Tulsa! We have all the ingredients that you use in our recipes as well as some of the equipment you will use in our kitchen available for purchase. You can also get many of the ingredients either in the Asian section at your local grocery store or at the local Asian market. If you don’t know where the local Asian markets are… just ask us and we will direct you to the closest one!
Is there an age limit?
No. Anyone interested in learning how to cook is welcome! However, we do ask that you do not bring your young children along to the classes as it distracts from the lesson that everyone has paid for. Anyone that attends the class must be a registered participant and must be old enough to pay full attention and participate in the class.
